Honest & Easy Disclosures

What Is All This Promotional Jazz?

What we are doing to do here is dig into some of the most effective as well as transparent methods from promoting affiliate produces so you can earn some healthy commissions & grow your bottom line.

The first thing to decide if is you prefer doing videos or writing blog posts.  Both can work great and it’s totally a matter of what you’re into.  Don’t for a second think if you can’t make a video you’re up a creek.  Both.  Work.  Great.

Why Does This Work?

The reason you want to review the product is because one of the largest hurdles buyers have is getting over the “is this really as good as all the hype around it” factor.  And even if there’s no hype around it, people still like to see inside and get another take on the subject.  That’s where you come in!

Be the voice they are looking for with a detailed, rational walk-through of said product as well as your take on it.

Never Lie.  The Truth Always Sells More Copies:

I never thought I’d be able to quote myself as a subhead in a bonus module but THAT just happened!  If you can’t get behind something then don’t try to sell it to other people.  That’s just super shady!  Instead, find something you truly believe will help people and put it out there with all the raw honesty and personality you can muster.

People buy from people AND they mostly buy from people they know are real.

How Do You Write A Compelling, Honest Review?

Reviews are actually easier than you think.  As in all things you want to know your target market.  With this course for example it is for authors who would like to earn more income from their books while building a far more responsive audience.  In most cases they have been at it for a little bit and either have a number of books published or understand they need to get there to see success.  They have tried all sorts of advertising and found that most of it just doens’t live up to the hype.

In many cases they have bounced between being a KU author to being wide a few times and are at a point where they just want to see some success from all the hard work they have put in.

What this means is you now know who you are writing for.  It’s vital to have a specific audience who have specific needs and problems.  If you go too wide your message will be list.

Tips To Keeping It Fun AND Compliant:

  1. Always be transparent.  It is not at all hard to be fully open about what you’re doing while still doing a great job and helping people with problems.
  2. Always be honest.  Make sure you have used the product or whatever you are pushing and have a real opinion about it based on actual experience.  Never just make stuff up to try to get a sale.
  3. Never promise that your reader/viewer will have the same outcome you did or that of the product developer.  The days of saying “I made $15 million in 19 seconds after buying this thing… AND YOU CAN TOO” are long gone and dead.  Just don’t.  Not only are consumers vastly more savvy but you’ll just come off sounding like an ass hat and end up making $0.
  4. Be clear about what you’re doing.  There does not exist a reason for you to try to hide the fact you’ll get paid if somebody buys something off your site.
  5. Don’t hide what’s up.  Make sure you disclose if you’re earning commissions above the fold and some where a normal person will look.

Above The Fold Disclosure:

What I like about Oh, She Blogs, is that the full on disclosure is right where everyone and anyone can see it.  Check it out here >>

If it was me, I would toss in some wording about how the extra cash from the sales helps us keep the lights on.  And yes, thank them!  Every inch of what she has in there is good stuff.  Figure out how to make it your own and stay upfront with it to your readers.

Here’s the direct copy from what she’s done if you missed it so you can digest it fully:

I’ve underlined the parts that make it fun and “reader friendly”

You should have a disclosure like that and have it up front, easy to understand, fun and personal.
